K12 Information and Ordering Process revised 2/26/08
K12 allows orders placed with a PO for an annual subscription only; they do not accept POs by the month nor semester. GVCS will make an exception to our three-month maximum rule, and we will allow students to order K12 classes for the year. In order to do so, a student must have enough current funding to cover the full cost of the annual subscription, plus any necessary materials.
The basics of how this process works- 1. Parent indicates interest in using K12 online course(s). 2. Parent or ES contacts Terina Lochner - 541-829-9847, tlochner@k12.com. 3. Terina helps parent/ES to pick out appropriate courses, get order all set up, Terina fills out K12's order request form. 4. Terina sends order request form to ES. 5. ES reviews order request form, approves order, places PO in Escape. 6. ES marks order received in Escape, as appropriate (once online subscription is activated and/or materials are received).
The online course will be activated within 24 hours of K12’s receipt of the PO, but the student’s materials won't come for about 2 weeks.
