Golden Valley Charter School students must complete 10 credits of a physical science AND 10 credits of a life science in order to graduate.
Life science must be taken in 10th grade. In order to meet this requirement, students may choose to take Biology, Biology Basics, Life Science Basics or a community college course. Check with your ES to be sure the college course you are considering will indeed fulfill the life science requirement.
A physical science may include physics, chemistry, or an earth science. If you are considering fulfilling this requirement with a community college course, there may be additional course titles that align with the state content standards. Check with your ES to be sure the college course you are considering will indeed fulfill the physical science requirement.
