Learning Record Meeting

revised 2/21/07

The face to face meeting that occurs at least once ever twenty (20) schools days is referred to as the learning record meeting.  The following activities occur during this meeting:

  • The ES makes an assessment of the student's work product to verify that the student has made adequate and appropriate progress toward the attainment of the student standards.

  • The ES collects learning record information for each student, reviewing, discussing and documenting all learning and work completed since the previous learning record meeting.

  • The ES provides educational support and counsel to the parent.

  • The ES collects the hard copy Attendance Rollsheet, which the parent recorded attendance on for that learning period, and provides the family with a new one for the next learning period.

  • The ES collects work samples: one per subject, per month.

  • Materials are checked out to the student, which the parent signs for, acknowledging receipt.

  • Materials that are no longer needed are collected by the ES.

  • The ES and parent will discuss which materials and services may still be needed.

  • The next appointment date(s) and location(s) will be arranged.
