GVCS Field Trip 2007-2008 Alpacas at Windy Hill Tour
Golden Valley Charter School is sponsoring 5 field trips for the 2007-2008 school year. The fifth of these field trips will be to the Alpaca Farm at Windy Hill, located in Somis, CA. The tour will be approximately 1 ½ hours in length, and will consist of students being shown how a "working ranch" is run. They will be shown the different areas of the ranch such as the birthing area, mom and babies, males, vet area, etc. Students will also learn what these animals are all about. They will learn the history of the animals, about their fleece and their upkeep. They will also be allowed to go in and feed and pet some alpacas.

In order to sign up for this field trip, the following information must be received in our office by April 9th, 2008:
1. Completed Filed Trip Permission Slip 2. Completed Volunteer/Employee Vehicle Usage Form (ONLY if driving children other than your own)

We must receive all required forms for your application to be considered complete. This field trip has a limit of 40 persons. In the event that we receive more applications than space available, a lottery will be held. Names will be drawn and you will receive notice from the office as to your status.
