GVCS Field Trip 2007-2008 Jet Propulsion Laboratory
Golden Valley Charter School is sponsoring 5 Field Trips for the 2006-2007 school year. The first of these field trips will be to the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, located in Pasadena, CA. The tour is 2 hours in duration and will include a multi-media presentation on JPL entitled "Spirit of Exploration," which provides an overview of the Laboratory's activities and accomplishments. Guests may also visit the von Karman Visitor Center, the Space Flight Operations Facility, and the In-Situ Instruments Laboratory.

When: Tuesday November 6th, 2007, 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. (Please arrive by 12:45 for check-in)
Who: Grades 1-12
Cost: Free
In order to sign up for this field trip, the following information must be received in our office by September 24th, 2007:
1. Completed Field Trip Permission Slip 2. Completed Volunteer/Employee Vehicle Usage Form (ONLY if driving children other than your own)

We must receive all required forms for your application to be considered complete. This Field Trip has a limit of 80 persons. The tour will be split into 2 groups by grade, but we will keep families together during the tour. In the event that we receive more applications than space available, a lottery will be held. Names will be drawn and you will receive notice from the office as to your status. Important Notes:
