Throughout the month – Finalize sem. 1 course details; fill out and sign Course Selections paperwork.

10/12 – Course drop deadline

10/17 – PSAT

Throughout the month – If you are considering attending a post-secondary institution in 2008-2009, begin exploring your financial aid options.  Visit www.fafsa.ed.gov for more information.

10/1-11/30 – Initial filing period for California State University (CSU) applicants for fall 2008.  Visit www.csumentor.edu for more information about applying to CSU.

 

November

11/6 & 11/7 – CAHSEE, 11th & 12th graders as necessary

11/9 – Course level change deadline

11/12 – Veteran’s Day – no school

11/21-11/23 – Thanksgiving Break – no school

11/30 – Initial filing period for CSU fall 2008 applicants closes.

11/1-11/30 Filing period for University of California (UC) applicants for fall 2008.  Visit www.universityofcalifornia.edu/admissions for more information about applying to UC. 

 

December

12/19-1/1 – Winter Break – no school

 

January

1/1 – Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) available.  Visit www.fafsa.ed.gov for more information.

1/21 – Martin Luther King, Jr. Day – no school

1/24 – Last day of 1st semester

2/5 & 2/5 – CAHSEE, all 10th grade students

2/15 & 2/18 – Lincoln’s Birthday & President’s Day – no school

4/21-4/25 – STAR testing, all 3rd-11th grade students
