October 2008 PSAT Registration Information

You may sign up to take the PSAT/NMSQT at GVCS or at a high school in your community. The test is administered by high schools, not through test centers. Online registration for the PSAT/NMSQT is not available.

If you wish to take the test at GVCS, it will be offered on Wednesday, October 15 2008 at 10:00 AM at the GVCS office in Ventura.  To register, complete the PSAT Registration form, available on the school’s website.  If we receive your registration form by June 6th, 2008, you will receive a free student guide.  In order to take the test in October at GVCS, you must register by September 10th.  There is a nonrefundable $13.00 fee, which can be paid by check or money order, or with instructional funding.  Information regarding payment is provided on the registration form.

If you wish to take the test at a high school in your community, you will need to contact the principal or counselor at a local public or independent high school to make arrangements to take the PSAT/NMSQT at their school.  Be sure to do so well in advance of the October 15 test date; it is recommended arrangements be made as early as June.

If you take the test elsewhere, you will need the GVCS school code to complete the basic information on the answer sheet, on the day of the test.  That code number is 053629.
