Summer School Information revised 3/27/08
Golden Valley Charter School does not typically conduct summer school. Specifics regarding this particular school year will be released in the spring.
High school students who desire to take courses at another educational institution over the summer for high school credit may do so under the following conditions: · The course must be taken at a WASC approved institution. This includes community colleges and on-line schools. · The student may earn a maximum of ten (10) credits (one year-long course or two one-semester courses). · Golden Valley must receive an official transcript from the institution indicating course name, credits earned, and course grade prior to the winter break.
Additionally, the following apply: · Golden Valley will not pay for the course or course materials under any condition. · Students may not receive credit for Driver’s Training. · Students who do work at home under their parent’s supervision may not earn summer credit.

Students must complete the
Summer School Registration form
· Golden Valley will not be held responsible for students enrolling in courses in which the student may not receive credit from this school, i.e. bible classes or repeating a course for which credits have already been received. · Students must have been enrolled in Golden Valley during the regular school year.
